Attatching the top sides

To get the shape of the top side we used cardboard to get the ruff size we needed. We naild the card board to the frames where the topside will sit and cut the cardboard around the chine and cut about 100mm up from the sheer line.

We then placed the cardboard cut out and transferred it to the foam and cut it out. this had to be done in sections for the foam we were using was only so long.

We then used a the ruff cut of the foam and fair'd it in at the chine to make sure that it sat flush with the hull / chine. A scribe was used to do this.  After doing so we glued the foam together where the hull joined and where the sections off the topside foam met and nailed it to the frame to make sure it didn't move then left it over night to dry.
